OCAD U’s Dorothy H. Hoover library is launching a reading club. This is not the kind of book club where everyone reads the same best seller and gets together to debate its merits – instead, reading clubbers will help create a themed display in the library and will then get together to discuss that month’s subject with friends and fellow students. Materials include books, graphic novels, artwork, articles and the display itself.
In support of the library’s new Reading Club, we invite students to get together in the Learning Zone to create imagery to accompany the club’s first display.
The theme for February’s reading club is mental health, so we will be creating images along that theme. Art materials will be supplied, but feel free to bring your own.
As the first working meeting of the group, we will also be discussing what everyone wants out of the club.
When: Friday January 20, 2012 from 4-6pm
113 McCaul St., Level 1 (also accessible from 122 St. Patrick St.)
