‘Nourish to Flourish’ is an online workshop that explores how mindfulness can be incorporated into your creative practice. It will demonstrate how nourishing your well-being through awareness and responsiveness to your needs enables you to flourish as a creative. Participants will be equipped with tools and resources to support personal exploration of how they can affect mindful changes in the process of creating and sharing their art. We encourage creatives of all disciplines to consider attending!

Guided by Kat Khan (@_katkhan) and Chloe Lorenzo (@clorenza_), we’ll discuss various wellness needs and demonstrate how to use affirmations and boundaries to respond to these needs. We’ll invite you to participate throughout the workshop and develop your understanding of each concept collectively with the group.

Limited capacity: 10 people.

Kat Khan is an interdisciplinary artist based in Toronto and believes that personal development is in parallel with abundance. The theme of her life is Vulnerability. Kat is passionate about representation within the arts and entertainment industry and is driven to create spaces for underrepresented voices to be heard. She is passionate about telling stories that prioritize people of colour, queer folk, and young women and how they uniquely navigate identity and come of age. She feels aligned with the works of A24 and illegal Civ and hopes to create work where BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ people can see themselves in lenses that are vulnerable and loving.

Chloe Lorenzo’s multidisciplinary creative practice encompasses working as a stylist, creative director, and graphic designer. She is pursuing an undergraduate degree at OCAD U (Advertising 2025) and is currently the Programming Assistant at Xpace Cultural Centre. Chloe seeks to create with a deep care for the self, incorporating rest and attention to personal wellness into creative processes. She believes in creating with care for others, celebrating her collaborators identities and intersections while prioritizing their needs. In her creative work she aims to authentically represent and centre Black, Indigenous, people of colour and Queer folx. Through programming and arts administration Chloe hopes to share knowledge across these communities in the interest of cultivating broader, more sustainable forms of self care amidst the inequities and precariousness of day-to-day life.
