Off of the east coast of Sicily, lowered into the depths of the the Mediterranean Sea, is a hydrophone. It listens 24 hours a day, 7 days week. This source provides material for Bodies of Water, a low-frequency audio installation pushing the thresholds of perceptibility, through sound and body, to ask: What are the limits of what we can sense? How do we relate to a body that is not our own? How do we relate to a soundscape we do not inhabit?

The artist acknowledges the support of the Ontario Arts Council for this exhibition.

Bodies of Water is part of the Toronto Design Offsite Festival 2017
