Psychic Pain is a look into Jesi the Elder’s intuitive process in making art and animations. Her methodologies are self described as having a major headache or premonition, whereupon closing her eyes she taps into that ‘physic pain’ and paints the imagery appearing as a result. The installation throughout Xpace’s Main and Window spaces will include large scale head-in-the-hole paintings, hand painted animation frames as well as Special FX Wizard Zak Tatham’s live fortress green screen studio, all bringing you to another place and time zone. Much of the work was inspired by time spent by Jesi living and working in Latin America.
