In this in-person workshop, participants will learn how to animate directly onto 16mm found-footage film, and 16mm blank film. They will use alcohol-based markers, collage, and scratch-on-film techniques. Participants will learn the fundamentals of animating 24 frames per second, and the basics of film handling. Participants will get to view their creations on a projector afterwards. ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ†’๐ŸŽž๏ธ

You donโ€™t always need a camera to make a film! Join Robin as we explore camera-less animation techniques with 16mm film, by scratching, drawing, painting, hole-punching, and more. These techniques have been used for decades, and are a great introduction to both analogue film and the principles of animation. You can bring your own film, but film will also be provided at the workshop.๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฏ

๐Ÿ†“๐Ÿ“ฒ Space is limited! RSVP at xpace.eventbrite.com, ๐Ÿ”— also in bio.
