What does the art world really look like? Xpace Cultural Centre and OCAD U Career Development are teaming up to answer your questions about the art field.
-Contracts
-Getting paid
-Invoices
-Negotiations
-How to say no
-How to get involved in the arts vs. finding work
-Tips to approach galleries and artist-run centres
-How to engage in studio visits
-Seek out mentorships

Xpace will be sharing their knowledging on the ins and outs of living with a career as an artist. Topics will include: contracts, getting paid, invoices, negotiations, how to say no, how to get involved in the arts vs. finding work, tips to approaching galleries and artist-run centers, how to engage in studio visits & seeking out mentorships.

From the OCAD U’s Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers, Miles Collyer, Career Development Coordinator will be leading a Q&A following and responding to the talk, acquainting students with their services and resources for professional development.
