Lamprey is a sculptural installation that engages proprioception, affect, and the philosophical notion of persistence over time. Composed of lattice plywood forms and delicate organic elements, the work holds quiet tension within its structure—offering space for absences, and the potential for change. Drawing on ideas of unfolding through temporal parts, Lamprey progresses through gestures that resist immediacy, inviting viewers into a suspended engagement with material and motion. Treated surfaces appear rusted, muted, and softly deteriorated—material states that exist in a continuous process of transformation.
