How much of the artist’s work never makes it into the gallery? The rejected grant applications, the day job to make ends meet, the abandoned studies, the leftovers and residue of trying and trying again. Asking the questions: how lucky we are to do something we love, or how much we have to give up to make it work; 𝘤𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬, (𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨) brings together four artists exploring the politics of art/work, whose labour we value, and the care inherent in making.
