Interesting and visceral work from Hoicka, an artist whose approach stems from a studio-based practice. Hoicka plays within a variety of media, with recent focus on performance art and painting. Â Humour, sexuality and gender, desire and the abject are all ripe for exploration in Hoicka’s hands.
Her work was shown recently at the White House Studio Project, and was featured in the most recent FADO Emerging Art Series at XPACE Cultural Centre.
