Like a fast approaching car with a flame decal, Uncertain Landscapes is decompressing with hands holding onto some transitory state between what can be said for a sense of place and the active construction of a setting. Knowing ourselves to feel our thoughts living outside, what is a surface appearance or role played for the popularity continuum. Pictorial works expressing keen deference for a fringe beauty standard, time swayed by anti-aesthetic narratives and elapsed by a need for psychic privacy.

* The title Uncertain Landscapes was borrowed from a title of a recording by Ylang Ylang, on the Life Without Structure (Crash Symbols,PBUH103) cassette tape.
